Whether you’re visiting Knoxville to cheer on your favorite team at Neyland Stadium or looking for a stay central to all things East Tennessee, Smokey’s Hangout is the perfect home base. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Market Square and about 45 minutes from Sevierville, enjoy a fully private 2-bed, 2-bath basement suite. Sweet P’s BBQ, Tequila Amigos Mexican Restaurant, and Pratt’s Market are just around the corner. We also love to decorate for the holidays!

Smokey’s Hangout is named after our cat, a Manx kitty named Smokey who loved the privacy and coolness of the space when we first moved in. Smokey’s Hangout is a fully private basement space in our personal home. You have your own entrance, a kitchenette, 2 full bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 desk areas for working while visiting, and full privilege to our half acre yard. Access to laundry is available upon request. You will share a drive way with us, and may see us in passing as entrances are separate, but on the same side of the home. We do have a 2 car garage that is not available for guest access.

Local to Knoxville, Sweet Pea’s and Wren House coffee shop are both less than half a mile away for your morning brew or dinner plans. Smokey’s Hangout is a direct 12 minute drive via Old Broadway to Old City, Market Square, or 15 minutes from UT Campus. Hop on I-640 for a direct drive towards Sevierville and Gatlinburg or a quick 15 minute drive to Knoxville Zoo!

Guest Access

Guests have the entire basement to themselves. Our property is 0.5 acres on the edge of fountain city in Knoxville. Our backyard is fenced off. Guests will have full access to our yard, and all basement areas with the exception of an owner’s closet and laundry room. Access to owner’s living space is accessed via a deck and steps. We ask that guests not access the owner’s deck.
