Smokey’s Hangout is named after our Manx cat, Smokey, who loved the privacy and coolness of the basement when we first moved in. Smokey’s Hangout is a fully private basement suite within our personal home. You’ll have your own private entrance, kitchenette, 2 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2 workspaces, and access to our half-acre fenced backyard. Laundry is available upon request since the laundry room is located in a shared area. We do live upstairs, so you may occasionally see us around the property. We also have a toddler, so there may occasionally be some normal household/toddler noise from upstairs, especially during the daytime. We do our best to be respectful of your stay and follow the same quiet hours we ask of our guests. The home has a shared central heating and air system that we control remotely. Basements naturally tend to stay cooler, but we’ll do our best to keep you comfortable. Just let us know if you need an adjustment! You will share the driveway with us, but parking is easy. Please park in the designated guest parking area near the large tree. We’ll use the area in front of the garage. The 2-car garage is not available for guest access. Our goal is to give you a private, comfortable space while still being available if you need anything during your stay.
